Can Being Luxurious Make You Money?
There are luxurious people who are not rich and there are rich people who are not luxurious. Then there are the rich people who are also luxurious. While there are many rich people who may or may not be luxurious, many of them tend to be low-key and stay away from publicity.
But with the advent of social media, luxurious living and expensive possessions became popular online digital content subjects. So much so that many luxurious people realized that they can make a lot of money displaying their luxurious lifestyle and possessions online.
Many of these luxurious people may not be necessarily rich and could in fact be in debt, but as long as they have access to these luxury lifestyle and possession, then they stand to make good money thru ads and other online digital content monetization.
IF YOU’RE ALREADY RICH AND LUXURIOUS
You stand to earn more money and probably a lot more by simply using what you already have in your life. For example, if you regularly buy expensive clothes and other accessories, you can simply display them in social media while they are still new or are unused.
If you dine out regularly, you could post online your dining experience while clearly indicating that you are eating food that is not regularly eaten by most people. The same thing goes for your vacations and many other facets of your life.
This monetization strategy would hardly cost you any money as you’re just basically posting your normal life online. Also, if you’re rich and especially if you’re a millionaire or even a billionaire, there is a high likelihood that you hobnob with other rich and/or famous people.
This is why the richer you are, the more you can “flex” online. In hindsight, you are in your element, the element of being actually rich and being able to have no problems displaying your luxurious lifestyle and possessions.
IF YOU’RE NOT ALREADY RICH BUT LUXURIOUS
As has been said, not all luxurious people are rich. In fact, a vast number of luxurious people are not rich. Most are everyday people who earn at best above average salaries which is the reason they can afford some luxuries in life.
There are also luxurious people who live from debt to debt. There are in fact wannabe luxury lifestyle influencers who are so desperate in being known as luxury influencers that they have virtually buried themselves in credit card debt just to fund their digital content creation business.
But you don’t have to bury yourself in debt just to be a luxury lifestyle influencer online. You can basically be just a reporter of luxury lifestyle. For example, there are many fashion influencers who became famous online by simply posting their opinions online.
You don’t have to for example be invited to fashion shows by fashion houses. You can just watch the fashion show online and then post your opinions on it. Another example would be in luxury vacations. You don’t have to travel for example in France to report about France.
You can study the luxurious places in France, watch travel videos and so on and then make your own content based on what you have studied and consumed online about France. The same goes for expensive cars, houses and so on.
IF YOU BECOME FAMOUS, THE LUXURIES WOULD COME TO YOU
This is true. One current example would be Alexandra Mary Hirschi who is also more popularly known as Supercar Blondie. She is currently the highest paid automobile content creator who can charge more than a million dollars for a single endorsement.
Alexandra is an Australian but moved to Dubai, Saudi Arabia to pursue her dreams of becoming an online content creator for supercars. According to her, many automobile experts at first scoffed and laughed at her for her naiveness regarding automobiles.
But she persevered on until her YouTube and other social media channels became known. In YouTube alone, she has 9.93 million subscribers and her YouTube videos have been watched 2,196,904,237 times.
She has really gone a long way especially noting that when she was still an unknown, she only drove a Mitsubishi Lancer back in her hometown of Queensland, Australia. She now owns a Rolls Royce, a McLaren and has a pending order for a Tesla Cybertruck.
The Rolls Royce and the McLaren alone costs millions compared to her beginnings of just driving a Mitsubishi Lancer. She is proof that you don’t have to be super rich to report about luxury cars. Companies themselves actually ask her to review their supercars.
OPPORTUNITY IN LUXURY CONTENT
According to Bank of America or BOA, one of the most prominent banks in the USA, despite deepening inflation and plunging stock prices. Luxury goods sales have been increasing tremendously since 2021 up to 2022.
For 2022, global luxury spending is up a record 14 percent through April, with growth accelerating to 26 percent for higher-income spenders and slowing to five percent for lower-income earners, according to BOA.
This report highlights that luxury goods spending have significantly increased for all sectors of society whether or not they are rich. According to BOA, a lot of tourism and other luxury activity related spending have shifted to spending on luxury objects instead.
Besides this, the fashion influencer market is also growing exponentially. It is predicted to grow by 35.7% from 2020 to 2027. This is from the study of Grand View Research who also predicted that the market would grow from US$ 2.02 billion in 2020 to US$ 17.12 billion in 2027.
CONCLUSION
Being a creator of luxury content online can be very profitable. Celebrity supercar content creator Supercar Blondie is one extreme example of how someone can reach dizzying fame and financial success even though you may come from humble beginnings.
