Submersible Glass Tank Tourism

There are already submersible vehicles being used for tourism. There are boats with glass bottoms where tourists can view the bottom of the ocean and there are also small submersible submarines especially designed for tourism purposes. However these vehicles could be expensive to buy and maintain as for one you need specially trained crews to operate them. This means tourists have to pay high prices to use them which may be a big turnoff.

A cheaper and simpler vehicle or equipment could be a static submersible glass tank located in tourist areas along the edges of water. They are easier to construct and maintain and therefore their services could be offered to tourists at a much lower price. There is no need for specialised crews or there might even be no need for employees to man them.

This submersible is not designed for deep sea diving but only for experiencing how it feels if you are submerged in water inside a glass tank. This submersible could dive a few feet below the water using water weights to compensate for the different weight of the riders. Then a simple motor and rope assembly can hoist it up from the water.

It could be designed to be small enough to fit only 1 person or as big as a normal motor can hoist. Submersibles can trigger claustrophobia attacks. For small tourist areas the submersible should at least be made to accommodate 2 people. This way if a person is afraid to use it alone they would have company to calm them.

This submersible should also have a manual winch in case the motor fails to function or when the electricity supply goes down. There should be an indicator which would tell the owner of the submersible that the motor or electricity has gone down. They can then immediately initiate to use the manual winch to hoist the rider of the submersible from the water.

Another way to ensure that the rider of the submersible will be safe from drowning in case of an accident is to attach the submersible in a pulley whose other end is attached to a weight heavy enough that when pulled down would immediately hoist the submersible out of the water. The heavy weight can sink in the water while the submersible rises from the water.

If possible a small oxygen tank should also be present inside the submersible in case the submersible leaks and takes water in. There should also be a simple manual on how to use the oxygen tank in case of water leaks as well as simple instructions on how to escape from the tank quickly should one get trapped underwater.

As can be seen the submersible can be very safe with minimal supervision and cost. You can emphasise how safe the submersible is when you do your sales pitch to tourists. You can also emphasise how convenient it is to be underwater without the tourists needing to wet themselves or wear scuba suits.

One place where these submersibles could be located is in tourism areas located near the edges of water like the edges of rivers, beaches, oceans, wharfs and so on. Tourists can ride them to see what is below the water of these water bodies. It is good if they can be placed in water areas where there is plenty of fishes and water plants or if it is in a picturesque place.

I am sure there are plenty of people like me who would like to see what lies beneath the bottom of the water bodies we see without getting in the water ourselves. Tourists may hate getting wet or may not know how to swim. They could be just interested in taking pictures of what lies beneath the water without having to be bothered wear diving gears.

Another place these submersibles can be placed is in ships and boats. Tourists can ride them to see how the ocean or a lake looks like from below the surface of the water while the ship or boat is moving. They may want to observe people swimming with or without scuba gear who are also passengers in the boat. This is safer than riding a mini submarine submersible.

They can also be used in deep enough swimming pools to observe other people swimming at the surface level of the water or below. I remember almost drowning in a swimming pool I have already sunk in the bottom of the swimming pool for a few minutes and nobody noticed. This submersible could have been a big help to me then.

They are ultimately useful for people who cannot swim in water but still want to enjoy the company of people swimming. They can be invalids or just do not know how to swim. They can lower themselves to the water surface or below it to be in the company of people swimming near them.

As can be seen it is easy to operate this submersible. It is just like operating an elevator where you just push buttons to go up or down. There is no need for an employee to operate it for the tourist. It must be coin operated as well if need be so that there would not be a need for an employee to get payments from the tourists.

One thing I can add though is lighting. If tourists use the submersible when it is dark or if the water is a bit murky then they may have a hard time seeing what is beneath the surface of the water. If possible these submersibles should be equipped with directional lighting so they can focus on an area of the water they are interested to see more clearly.

Conclusion

This submersible could be a great attraction for tourist spots near water bodies where tourists are already used to what is above the water namely what can be seen from the ground. Beneath the water surface tourism can excite these tourists who would want to see the ever changing dynamics of sights underwater including swimmers, fishes and water plants.
