Earning from Security Roadside Assistance

It might not be often but when your car breaks down on the road it is a major problem especially when it happens in a dangerous and/or desolate area. Everyone wants speedy roadside assistance in this scenario but sometimes it might take time for them to respond.

While this happens you and probably also your passengers like your family are literally at the mercy of your surroundings and the inhabitants of the place around you. One money earning opportunity I can think of is to provide some sort of rapid response security service for the car and its occupants.

I remember experiences where I have to visit friends using my car who live in pretty rough neighbourhoods. My friends there would almost always ask some people from the neighbourhood to keep a watchful eye on my car and even guard it.

My car is not even expensive or brand new but old and cheap. But my friends reckon it would be a target because me and my car was a stranger in the neighbourhood and I could not ask help from anyone in the neighbourhood because I do not know anyone. I or my friends would reward the people who guarded my car in an informal “pay for security scheme”.

Imagine a scenario where you just bought a brand new car with expensive wheel rims. You could just be gone in under an hour from a location you are not familiar with only to return to your car later and see all your four wheels stolen. Your car glass windows may be smashed too and the contents of your car stolen. This is reported all the time in the news.

Unless you have a chauffeur who could guard your car it is at the mercy of the people around the area. Your chauffeur may not even be enough if he is unable to defend your car from more powerful attackers. Bodyguards can come in handy but maintaining them could be expensive. Only the truly rich can afford full-time bodyguards that will guard your car and you even if you are separated from your car.

If you are starting such a business it is especially helpful if your potential clients are the sort that attract unwanted attention especially from malicious persons and even criminals. Normal roadside assistance providers do not offer this kind of service and may even be deterred from helping you if they encounter these kinds of people who are out to harm you and your car.

In Australia for example there are security services that offer quick response when an alarm in a building is triggered. These same security services can offer their quick response service to stranded motorists. After all we treat our cars like our homes most of the time.

Conclusion

The world is a dangerous place especially for well-off people trapped in a desolate or dangerous place. Their expensive looking vehicle may attract hostile attention and they or their security detail may not be enough to handle these threats. This is a need that is unmet and whenever there is an unmet need there is an opportunity to earn money.
